Rage Room Ideas: Birthdays, Team Days and Dates

By Akash · Updated 1 October 2026 · 3 min read

A rage room is a surprisingly good day out. It is loud, silly and a bit different from dinner and a film. Here are some ideas for birthdays, team days and dates, plus a way to do it from the sofa.

Birthday or friends night out

A group session is a great way to start a birthday. Everyone suits up, takes turns or smashes together, and you all leave laughing. Ask the venue about group deals and whether the room fits your numbers.

Team building

Some teams use a rage room as a stress-busting day out. It gets people moving and laughing, and there is a lot of goodwill in smashing a dead printer together. Check the age and health rules for everyone first, and make sure it feels optional, because not everyone wants to smash things.

Date ideas

  • Take turns smashing, then grab a coffee or a meal to cool down.
  • Be kind about it. It is a funny thing to do, but it is not for everyone.
  • Skip it if either of you has a health reason to avoid it.

No venue? Do it on the sofa

You can make a proper game of it online. Take turns in a free online rage room, pick a room and a weapon each, and see who gets the highest score in Time Attack. The leaderboard is a nice reason for a rematch. No booking, no travel and no cleaning up.
